Notes

Release is a sales/availability reference. Date source: https://news.samsung.com/us/samsung-elevates-foldable-era-everyday-well-being-global-launch-galaxy-z-fold7-galaxy-z-flip7-galaxy-watch8-series/ . Released Android 17 verified in the manufacturer log for SM-F966B; region/carrier rollout can differ. Security end is an estimated month: release reference plus 7 years, not an official cutoff. Top entry in the linked Samsung model/region-specific firmware log rechecked 2026-10-12: Android 17. This does not establish simultaneous availability in every region.

Notes

Manufacturer commitment: up to 7 OS generations and 7 security years. No separate OS duration asserted. Final OS and security end are calculated. Current cadence reference: https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb . Cadence rechecked 2026-10-12 against Samsung Mobile Security scope. This is not re-verification of the entire support commitment.
