Notes

Release is a sales/availability reference, not announcement or preorder. Date source: https://news.samsung.com/us/samsung-unveils-galaxy-s26-series-most-intuitive-galaxy-ai-phone-yet/ . Earlier or later regional sales may exist. Verified released Android major version: 17 for the referenced model/market; this does not imply the same build or patch everywhere. Security end is estimated from the chosen availability reference plus seven years, at month precision, not a manufacturer cutoff date. Top entry in the linked Samsung model/region-specific firmware log rechecked 2026-10-12: Android 17. This does not establish simultaneous availability in every region.

Notes

Manufacturer commitment: up to seven OS upgrade generations and seven security years from initial global launch. No separate seven-year OS duration asserted. Final Android number is calculated; security end is an estimated month using the availability reference, not a manufacturer cutoff date. Monthly scope: https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb . Market and carrier timing may differ. Cadence rechecked 2026-10-12 against Samsung Mobile Security scope. This is not re-verification of the entire support commitment.
